
Playwright Lanford Wilson died March 24 at 73 years of age. Lanford
was not just an important figure in American theatre -- he was also a
mentor to the founding members of Wordsymth who met in his class at the University of Houston in 2007. We will remember him fondly. Lanford was a wonderful teacher and a gentle soul.

Wordsmyth is currently seeking individuals in a number of areas to assist in its expanding programs. It is also building a talent pool of dramaturges, directors, stage managers, designers, composers and actors for play development.
Wordsmyth Theater Company is seeking individuals with strong dramaturgy background to provide writers with dramaturgy and structural assistance in developing their plays. If interested please submit your resume and cover letter to Wordsmyth at submissions@wordsmyththeater.org.
